What is the Office of the Court Administrator? It is comprised of the Court
Administrator, who is located on the island of St. Thomas, and the Assistant Court
Administrator, who performs the mandated duties on the island of St. Croix. The

Office of the Court Administrator was created by statute 4 V.I. Code Ann. ยง 91.
The Court Administrator has oversight of the Offices of Accounting,
Human Resources,
Property and Procurement,
Probation,
Jury Management,
Information Technology, the
Law Library,the
Pretrial
Intervention Program, and the
Rising Stars Youth Steel Orchestra.
The Court Administrator examines the administrative and business methods employed by
the
Office of the Clerk of Court and the other offices that serve the Court. This
allows the Court Administrator to make recommendations for improving the operations
of the Court. Additionally, the Court Administrator is charged with managing the
budget, providing centralized policy guidance, and developing and implementing
standards and guidelines for the Superior Court.
In fulfilling its mandated obligations, the Office of the Court Administrator promotes excellence
by providing services in an accurate, timely and equitable manner. The Office provides visionary
leadership by continuously evaluating innovative business techniques for improving the efficiency
and accessibility of the Court to the general public. The Office of the Court Administrator is
dedicated to offering the public meaningful, speedy and economical forums to resolve disputes.
